Tamok is a cosy villa, conveniently located near Tatra trails and famous Krupowki street. Comfortable apartments were designed for those seeking unforgettable holiday experience.
In local dialect “tamok” means “there”. For us, it symbolises adventure, temptation to explore and fall in love with the beauty of the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane.

Most of our apartments offers an amazing view of the mountains, including famous Giewont peak, Kasprowy Wierch and others. Tamok is a perfect basecamp for your hiking trips – Tatra National Park entrance is just 10 minutes away by foot!
History
History of our villa starts in 1925. Over the years it was a home for some of the well-known Zakopane figures, such as mountain guide Wojciech Gasienica-Wawrytko or writer Wojciech Mroz. It was our main goal to preserve soul of the building during careful renovation.
Attractions
Our location encourages active lifestyle! During the summer season there’s plenty of mountain trails for skilled mountaineers as well as amateur hikers. But we’re best known for our spectacular winters, when skiing, skitouring and other snow sports are available.
Surroundings
Strazyska street is a quiet part of Zakopane, despite being only short walking distance away from the city centre. It’s only 1 km away from the entrance to Tatra National Park. Right next to our villa you’ll find picturesque Lipki Hill, perfect for an evening stroll, snow sled riding or… making a snowman:)

Excellent accommodation, very high quality, comfortable facilities… Great location for exploring the mountain walks and the main shopping area. We had a lovely room with a balcony and fantastic views of the mountains. The owners were very polite and quick to respond…easy pick up of keys and very accommodating of early check in. We have stayed in Zakopane 4 times previously in the same area and Tamok was by far the best!
If u go to Zakopane this is your place to go. On arrival we were amazed by the beautiful, neat and comforting home which breathes a feeling of rest and home coming. There is a lot to explore here and if u go for snowboarding, U should at least check Kasprowy Wierch. It is epic to say the least. The hosts are very kind and do everything to make the best of your stay and answer your questions.
We had a fantastic stay in Tymoteusz’s place in Zakopane. The apartment is situated a short walk from town and has amazing mountain views from the balcony. There are a couple of really good restaurants within a few minutes of the apartment if you don’t fancy heading into town. It is also very close to some brilliant walking trails. Tymoteusz was really helpful in recommending hiking trails, places to eat as well as buses for trips to Morskie Oko and other destinations.

Our villa is conveniently located only 15 minute walk away from the entrance to Tatra National Park and 10 minute walk away from famous Krupowki street. Picturesque Lipki hill is just behind the building, but you may as well see Tatra mountains behind the windows of most our apartments.
Nearby you will find regional restaurants, a small but well equipped market and great cafe, a the entrance to the Strazyska Valley.
